Come join Scott Sedgley and Napa County Landmarks for the annual Riverboat Captains & Mansions Walking Tour! In the 19th century, the Napa River waterfront was a bustling center of trade and activity helped by the many steamboats that plied the river’s waters and bore passengers to and from the San Francisco Bay. This tour focuses on the neighborhoods that served as home for the riverboat captains and many of their passengers, the first of Napa’s “rich and famous”. With easy access to the waterfront, it was a popular choice for housing, and produced many beautiful and unique historic homes!
The Riverboat Captains & Mansions Tour features 12 houses all within easy walking distance of the beautiful Napa River and is led by local Napa Councilman Scott Sedgley. Don’t miss this educational and fun walking tour!
