When Dutch Henry Winery opened its doors in 1992, the Chafen's dream was to quietly earn a reputation for quality, passion in winemaking and an easy going approach to sharing their story with visitors to the winery. The dream has blossomed, and each of the Chafens has participated in the evolution of a modest winemaking operation into a producer of ultra premium Napa Valley Wines. In 1999 Dutch Henry Winery was named one of the top five wineries to visit while in Napa by the Wall Street Journal.

Dutch Henry Winery specializes in small lots of Handcrafted wines producing 5,000 cases annually. Bordeaux varietals dominate and organically grown Syrah is sourced from the winery estate in Calistoga. Dutch Henry wines are carefully crafted by owner-winemaker Scott Chafen. Other varietals produced include an estate Syrah, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Sauvignon Blanc Argos (Bordeaux Blend) and a dry Rose.

TASTING AND TOURS AT DUTCH HENRY
Current Release Tasting
This tasting takes place in our winery tasting room from 10 am to 4:30 pm, 7 days a week. Guests may enjoy a tasting of 6 wines (a barrel sample is usually available) for a fee of $25. We also invite you to enjoy a complimentary sample of our estate grown olive oil during your visit.

To ensure that our guests enjoy the best experience possible, we ask that groups larger than 4 call ahead for an appointment.

Tasting and Cave Tour
This tasting takes place in our winery tasting room and includes a tour of the winery/cave. Guests may enjoy a tasting of 6 wines (a barrel sample is usually available) for a fee of $35. Reserve Tour & Tasting
Our Dutch Henry reserve tasting offers a special one on one opportunity to discover the inner workings of our small family owned winery. The tour includes a barrel sample, cave tour, and a private seated reserve tasting with cheese in our cave hospitality room.
