A visit to the Tamber Bey Winery is like nothing else in Napa Valley. The winery is located at the Sundance Ranch in Calistoga, a world-class equestrian facility designed by renowned architect Howard Backen and dedicated to training top performance horses. The tasting room is located in the barn clubhouse. The 16-stall barn surrounds the courtyard, where guests can taste wine, mingle with the horses, and enjoy stunning views of Mount St. Helena and the Palisades.

Tamber Bey embodies the philosophy that great winemaking begins in the vineyard. We pride ourselves on producing extraordinary wines from estate-grown grapes and carefully sourced Napa Valley fruit. Our portfolio includes distinct single-vineyard, single-varietal wines that reflect this philosophy. Our vineyards are located in the Oakville and Yountville appellations of Napa Valley, and we produce a total of 12 wines from our vineyards. Frederic Delivert is winemaker.

Tamber Bey offers a variety of tasting experiences, including library wine flights and a signature wine and cookie pairing. A guided tour of the property includes the stables, winery and barrel rooms and a walk around the property to meet some of the resident horses. We are kid-friendly, dog-friendly and have picnic areas where guests can taste wine and then enjoy a lunch experience. Bring your own lunch or let us provide lunch for you. We are open seven days a week, 10am to 5pm, by appointment only.

Vintner Barry Waitte founded Tamber Bey Vineyards in 1999, when he purchased a 60-acre vineyard in the Yountville Appellation and an 11-acre property in the renowned Oakville Appellation. The winery in Calistoga was built in 2013 by remodeling a 15,000-square-foot covered riding arena into a state-of-the-art winemaking facility with a crush pad that houses 36 fermentation tanks sized for individual vineyard-designated wines.

Sundance Ranch is home to the Waittes’ Arabian endurance race horses. These horses compete in races covering 50 to 100 miles, and are ridden by Waitte and his wife Jennifer, who is the trainer of these wonderful horses.
