Actor and Producer Ronald Guttman (Mad Men, The West Wing, Lost) joins his brother, Music Director Michael Guttman and Symphony Napa Valley in narrating the gripping and rarely-performed orchestral poem of ancient origin, Genesis. Timeless works by Mendelssohn and Bloch complete the evening’s spiritual journey.

“Genesis,” a Symphonic Poem by Dr. Baruch Berliner, is inspired by the story of the world’s creation that is described in the “Book of Books”, the Bible. The work is particularly relevant in these days of tragic rifts between nations. In “Genesis,” ancient Biblical stories, intertwined with music that describes them, creates a universal bridge of peace and freedom, tolerance and acceptance of others. A part of proceeds from the concert will benefit the Jewish Historical Society of Napa Valley.
