He and the like-minded youth of the city mount an urban adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, with
the hope of starting a real dialogue about violence in the city. The film is powerful, eye opening, and inspiring and will spark a critical dialogue between the youth and adults who will experience this special evening. Along with film producer Michael Klein, Donté himself will be in attendance to perform an original piece, and answer questions about the film immediately following the screening.
Seating is limited. Parents and students can RSVP by March 11 to guarantee seats. Students must present valid ID upon entry.
