Wine Country Inn

Wine Country Inn was founded by Ned Smith in 1975, and started as a bed and breakfast, built and decorated with the help of Ned’s wife and five children. Over the years, Wine Country Inn has evolved to become more of a luxurious boutique hotel, but it’s never lost its personal, B&B feel. The antique-filled property has a wide range of rooms and cottages to suit every budget, and the vineyard and orchard views, homey decor, and gardens make for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Wine Country Inn really encourages visitors to “unplug”—the rooms do not have TVs, but board games are available for entertainment.

The property is beautiful, quiet, and secluded Shady Oaks Country Inn, which is situated on two acres of vineyards, has been run by proprietors John and Lisa Runnells for over 30 years. Ivy meanders up the walls and over the patio trellises outside, and comfortable and homey furnishings give the rooms a cozy vibe within.
